The food at St. Veronus is SO incredibly yummy. I absolutely love it. The service, however, is truly horrendous. The servers are usually very unpleasant and snotty. Seriously, they're so mean, it's almost unreal. Once, I was even told to eat more quickly (and I'm not a slow eater) because someone had reserved the table at which I was seated, and I needed to be out of there within 15 minutes of their informing me of this. I've been back since, though, and it really hasn't been much better. Unfortunately, I'm addicted to the stoemp.
I have been trying to make it back here since my first visit... the food was better than anything I've encountered in the GTA complex and mouthwateringly good.... reservations are key as it's a popular place...
This place is a great find. On a day trip to Peterborough, we chose St Veronus because of the reviews on this site, and they are accurate. All I can say is that if I'd gone to Belgium (or even Toronto) and found a place like this to eat I'd be very happy -- and the prices would be twice as high.

This restaurant is wonderful! I can't believe I waited so long to try it! It is quickly becoming my favourite restaurant in town. The portions are quite large and are a great value for your money, not to mention they're freaking delicious! Their selection of beer is impressive. The service is great and the atmosphere is so nice.
