Terrible Service
My wife and I live with our four children in Ottawa. We bought an American Range gas oven/range from Almar 3 years ago for roughly $5,000. We have consistently had gas smells in the house when the oven is ignited, for which we have had no effective service from Almar. For the past two months, the oven has failed to ignite at all, and we have been trying unsuccessfully to have it serviced. Almar told us we had to deal with American Range, which in turn told us we had to deal with Almar. After two months of this merry-go-round, the owner of Almar referred us to a service company in Ottawa, which in turn tells us they don't service American Range and have never heard of Almar. We are at wits end. Almar has been awful. If you want any after-purchase service at all, shop elsewhere.
