We love a great meal and bottle of wine and for two years we stopped in almost every Sunday on the way home from the cottage. Over the last summer I am not sure if ownership changed, but the staff definitely has. On Thanksgiving we had planned a family outing for their new Sunday brunch that they do. With no advice on their phone message we drove an hour, with family in tow, for brunch only to find that they had closed and didnt' notify anyone by their voice mail or even a notice on the door. After that we weren't sure that we'd venture out there again. However, passing thru yesterday we thought we would stop in. The menu has changed again, and I wouldn't say for the better. The food was ok, but not fantastic and the service was absolutely poor. Definitely not a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a place that fits in above the norm. We were so disappointed as we had come to really enjoy ourselves there.

This restaurant looks good, and it does work well for a fancy lunch on the patio, if you don't mind the somewhat inflated prices that goe with upscale cuisine. I have had mixed experiences with the staff. No doubt they have off days too, but our last time eating here will be the last time. We were not greeted at the door for about 7 or 8 minutes. Then the waitress graciously asked where we would like to sit. Our choice was the quietest area. She put us upstairs next to a girls-night-out table of 6 or 8 who guffawed their way hilariously through a dragged out dinner, while we failed in our efforts to ignore them. We were served in a way that I would call "adequate", but the waitress was not available a lot of the time. The surroundings are creative, and kind of new age, like the food. Obviously Pepperberries has a good chef in the kitchen, but the prices are a little high and I wouldn't recommend that you choose this one if you eat kosher.

Our meal was nice but definitely not worth the inflated prices. The atmosphere was interesting but not what we expected. It would have been nicer if they didn't try to squish so many people in to the small space. Our service was definitely below par. Generally higher end establishments such as this are more conscious of hiring professional servers and we were really disappointed.

Used to love going to this little Bistro tucked...

Used to love going to this little Bistro tucked away in the village. Food was always amazing and service was equally professional and first notch. Not sure what happened in the last few months, but last night's dinner was deplorable and the service was what I would expect from a diner. The restaurant was tidy but dirty, especially the men's room. Our server looked like she was busting out of her clothes and was definitely not the type of service I would come to expect given theprice point at this Bistro. We won't be back.

Awful. What else can we say but disappointing...

Awful. What else can we say but disappointing. Had the potential of a good restaurant. Food was okay, Service was horrible. With only a few groups in the entire restaurant, you would expect a higher level of service, I can't imagine what it is like if the restaurant is busy. The waitress was horrible and the waiter was arrogant. Over priced for what we got out of the evening. Just found this site so we'll check out reviews before we go out from now on.
