Located on Queen street, Aji Sai is authenic down to the seating style and decor. Ordered the gold box that was almost too big to finish and was downright savoury with the salmon. The complimentary green tea was perfect in the authenic mugs. Would go again
I am not a picky person, but this was hands-down the WORST service I have ever experienced. We went in and sat down, the waiter seemed so annoyed by us being there. Not once did he smile. His first words when he came to our table was "what do you want?" He smacked the plates on the tables when we got our food. He couldnt bother to fill our glasses for water, despite us asking him a few times. My brother got water spilled on him, and the waiter shrugged it off and couldn't bother to say Sorry. When we spoke to the manager/owner, he could care less about our complaint because the waiter was his relative. Finally, they cleared up our tables and plates within 5 seconds and hinted for us to leave so they can serve the next guy who walks in. I am still a little baffled by how they treated us.
This is my go-to for take out sushi. Cannot comment on service for sit-down dinner, but as a take out sushi place- I love it.
ok so went there on the 14th the experience started out good but service deterioted service started out fast and then slowed down but the thing that was the kicker was the fact that the server spilled some some sauce fromm left over food from someone elses table all over my $100.00 j lindeberg golf shirt. She made no attempt to help me get my shirt cleaned up or anything. When the bill came i was expecting to get my meal for free because that is something that has happened to me before at other restaurants and have got free dinner. The fact that she went back to the other servers and told them and they started laughing and looking over at me. I was not impressed.
A friend had recommended this place to me so I decided to try it out. The selection was big but most downtown AYCE restaurants don't serve shrimp tempura or beef during lunch (no idea why) so I was not happy with that. They had some rolls with names I had never heard of but the rolls are stuffed with rice and way too big. The chicken teriyaki was rough and dry (like airplane food) and we were sitting in a corner since the restaurant was busy. I'm surprised there are no reviews since the Bayview and other locations are quite popular. would not recommend going to this location, not sure about the Bayview location though.
