Amazing building. Nice employees and staff
This place looks amazing through the website and their blogs. The place also looks good, but a lot are miserable once staying there. The food is also horrible and not as high class as they try to make you believe. It is so obvious that the food are not whole and are clearly processed. The kind seen in groceries with high fructose corn syrup. Find some other place. This establishment has always had a reputation in Oakville for being horrible.

I will be certain to follow up with the General Manager at Delmanor Glen Abbey to address your comments. We strive very hard to meet the expectations of all Residents and their Guests. We conduct annual Resident satisfaction surveys that benchmark Delmanor against other Retirement Communities. Our results are high compared to industry standards. I'm sorry your expectations fell short but I can assure you we take the health and well-being of our Residents very seriously and work hard to meet their needs and wants. My aunt moved into Delmanor Glen Abbey in August after suffering a debilitating stroke, and subsequent vascular dementia. She was moved to a different room without any notice to either my aunt or her family, fairly shortly after moving in. This move was quite difficult for my aunt, and caused her much stress and immediate deconditioning. The facility was informed that under no circumstances was my aunt to be moved again, as it would have too great a detrimental effect on both her physical and mental health. Yesterday, my aunt was informed she would again be moved, making this the third room she would occupy in less than 2 months, as they had rented out the room to someone else who would be willing to pay more rent than my aunt was currently paying (the agreed upon amount). She refused. Today she was served with an eviction notice demanding she and all of her possessions be out of the room by no later than 5pm two business days later. This facility is kicking out a senior with dementia, and providing them only 2 business days to find alternate arrangements. Shameful. If you care for your loved ones at all, DO NOT allow them to move into this residence.

Due to privacy legislation Delmanor cannot comment on the specifics of this complaint, but I can assure you we take great pride in ensuring the needs of all Residents is met on a daily basis.
