Stobie's Pizza is family owned and operated using high quality ingredients and friendly staff. The delicious massive pizza slice was loaded with toppings and the sauce and crust was top notch. Hence their slogan "KING of the BIG Slice" 5 out of 5 stars!! ?❤️???
I have been eating here far too often for over 5 years. Whether coming home from a night of drinking, or working the door at APK, Stobie's Pizza was always the choice for great pizza and prompt service. Yeah the line can get a little long after last call and the prices go up, but this is to be expected on Richmond Row. Personally, I'd rather spring a few extra bucks than eat reheated cardboard. I've recently started stopping by for lunch whilst on my way to work, best idea ever. They often have a larger variety of Gourmet slices available, at a cheaper price, including my personal favourite the BBQ Chicken slice.
you can get a large slice for $5. they are open until 4am every night. lines can be amazingly long from about 1am to 3am on "weekend" nights (thursday-saturday in this town). the pizza was fine -- a little puffy, but it hit the spot.
Walking home drunk from the bar is about the only time I would eat this pizza. If you have discerning tastes, move on.
I hadn't been to Stobie's in years, so I thought I'd stop by Friday evening. I bought a slice of meatovers pizza and a can of pop, and it cost me close to $7. Good tasting pizza, but ridiculously overpriced.
This is a great place to go for some pizza if you are downtown, its late, and you're hungry. When most other places are closed, this place remains open. The pizza is pretty average, but seems to taste a lot better when you've got the late night munchies. And nothing else is open. I don't see the appeal of it at any other time though. Service is pretty fast and friendly, and you get good value for the money. Huge slices at a low price.
Ordered a pizza delivered. It was delivered promptly and politely. I think $17 is a bit much for a large 2 topping but I'm happy to pay for good pizza delivery. When we opened the box - we were horrified. They got our order right...that is about all I can say positively. The pizza clearly had been cooked without toppings. After it had been cooked the pizza was cut then toppings tossed on top. I know because the pepperonis had no cuts. Also, the pepperoni half was so much larger than the mushroom half it made me angry. Now on to the actually eating of the pizza: It was almost all dough. The sauce and cheese were cheap. My girlfriend wondered if the cheese was past its 'best before' date. One lopsided part of the crust was so big that the center of it had not cooked thoroughly. Overall the flavor was bland and unremarkable. Maybe this sort of food is ok at 3am after enough beer that a shoe would be delicious...sadly for me I was sober. Stobie's - Never Again!
We ordered pizza delivery, were told 45 minutes. After an hour, called back and asked, he said the driver was on his way. 30 minutes later, called again, said forget it, we don't want it, the guy on the phone could care less, and told us just to tell the driver that when he got there. He showed up 2 HOURS after we placed our order and we sent him away. We liked the pizza, but not enough to put up with terrible service and a 2 hour wait with no apology. We will never go to stobies again, just as we were becoming regulars.
Pretty standard pizza joint in the downtown core. The slices are large, but are also close to $5.00. Certainly decent and service is always friendly when I have been. A couple setbacks: Long lines, especially at night. The place is a hotspot for people wanting something to eat after the bars, or a night of drinking. As a result, I've ran into quite a few obnoxious student types here, but I mind my own business and ignore them. My suggestion is to go in the day to get faster service, and so you don't have to deal with the students. I've never had their delivery.
Hands down the best pizza in the the city. Whether you're looking for a post-bar snack, a lunchtime meal, or a full blown pizza-meal, this is the place to go. Stobie's pizza sauce has a kick to it that makes it what it is. The only drawbacks are the rundown shop and long line-ups, but honestly, who cares when all you want is pizza?
Had to write a review because no one else had - Stobies pizza is the ONLY place for pizza in London. Great location, great employees and GREAT pizza!! - I don't eat it all too often, maybe once a month but when Im driving down Richmond on a sunny day and see the Stobies sign, I HAVE to pull in and get a slice!!! (careful its HOT though - burning mouth while driving is not cool)
