    it's filthy, unor...

    it's filthy, unorganized, rundown and the worst part is the owner! He harassed us, swore at us and followed us around the ground to the water and even to the bathrooms! It had filthy washrooms/showers, tiny crammed in sites, a water tap on a 2X4 that was held up by rocks (and constantly falling over) and inches from the power outlets. Don't go!

    Worst vacation EVER! My 29th birthday to boot.

    We started out as three small families of the same larger family and ended up with four on the last day. They said this would be fine and gave us a double campsite. When the kids went to bed we liked to sit around the fire talking and catching up with eachother. Out of all of us there were 9 adults, aunts uncles parents grandparents and we had some drinks and talked. This was too loud for the owner who walked up into my uncles face with a flashlight and started harassing him and saying "THIS IS MY LAND THIS IS MY LAND I OWN THIS PROPERTY" We were flabbergasted. He was practically throwing a temper tantrum right in our campsite. Anyways this was at 10:30 and we went to bed half hour later. The next night we stayed up until 2 am talking. He came in and said we were all evicted. I said I could not put my one year old in the vehicle and drive he said HE DIDNT CARE! Of course we didn't go and went to bed. In the morning he PUT HIS HEAD INTO A TENT WITH CHILDREN IN IT AND MY SISTER WHOM WAS WEARING HER UNDERWEAR TO SLEEP IN. And said "TIME TO GO GET UP GET OUT THE POLICE HAVE BEEN CALLED" When the rest of the family heard that he walked into her tent like that, they exploded. The owners son started being rude to everyone and telling my little 6 year old neice that she'd better hurry up when she needed to use the bathroom. Then my 7 and 6 year old nieces were playing at the park across from us while we packed said that one of the men came up and said "they had better watch themselves"!!?? Because of how inexcusably rude they were being to our children and trying to intimidate the women, it almost came to blows. Then once he had riled everyone up and the cops showed up he acted as if we were freaking out for no reason. All in all, we paid for a service and felt violated.

    Great Family Campground

    Our family was extremely impressed with the managers this summer. The showers are completely finished and look great. The bathrooms were well maintained the whole weekend and the kids had a lot of fun playing on the playground and the beach. The games room looked like a dump last year, but the staff have re-painted and added to it, the kids couldn't get enough of it. The movie nights were moved inside so my kids could still had something to do at night even though it rained. The lookout trail hike was easy and quick for my whole family with an amazing view, but the lake was still a little too cold for swimming. On the first night there were some younger, loud campers that the staff took care of. The managers didn’t go to bed until everything was taken care of. It was great to see that they are enforcing their noise policies. If we wanted to rent a boat or have help moving our fire pit the staff were happy and eager to help. We never had to wait long after our request was made. Such amazing staff members and campground. We are definitely coming back this summer!
