Not sure about the other reviewer, but after reading this review, I had to register and give an opinion on one of our favorite little take out places we know.
We visit our cottage regularly about 2 kms from this "super" Chip Wagon, mostly in the summer months, and have many local friends who all rave about the food at George's (from what we understand, it's not the owner's name).
The ice cream is great, and we order it EVERY time - judging by all the tall white ice cream bins and the ice cream menu sign out front, Reid's dairy is the supplier from Belleville.
The burgers and fresh cut fries are fantastic, I'm not a fish lover, but our friends order their halibut fish & chips EVERY time we go.
As for locals, our local friends said this place has been there for like 10-15 or more years, some of them claim to have gained weight from eating there so often, so have to disagree with the local opinion comments - though I guess any time you go to a small town, opinions will may vary!
In our family opinion, it's a lovely place to eat, great atmosphere on the way to the local beaches and cottages, on a nice summer weekend. We would and have, recommended to anyone we know!

Great food and service. We haven’t been to a store in over 2 weeks because of Covid-19 and decided to get takeout Fish & Chips tonite. I order over the phone and was told to arrive at 5:35. They only allowed one person in the Restaurant at a time. My food was hot, fresh and plentiful.

Hahaha - love the haters comments. So true. Cranky owners but hey, you would be too if you served it up 24/7. BUT... Taste of T&T is tasty. Affordable, good portions. Enjoy before the owners retire.

I have been frequenting the Scarborough location of this restaurant for a few years now, and was excited when they opened a Pickering location, as I work in Scarborough, but live in Whitby. Awesome roti...and a few of my friends from "the islands" agree whole heartedly! The most tender, juicy and tasty chicken roti, you won't be dissappointed! My mom and I and my 2 boys went early on a Sat. night, I was very pleased with the service, the decor, the menu, we both got the roast beef and the shrimp appetizer, both were awesome, the shrimp were huge, the meat cooked to perfection to what we had asked for, yorkshire pudding, fresh vegetables cooked right, homemade mashed potatoes, the boys ate of the kids menu which I was surprised they even had as it looks fine dining when you walk in, the chicken fingers and fries were delicious. The waiters treated us very kindly and were very attentive, when they found out it was my birthday dinner they brought out cake and sang, when we were leaving the place was packed, perhaps an upscale crowd judging by the fancy cars in the parking lot, they also have a separate lounge and outdoor patio, both very nice and comfortable and a sign that said free h'ors doeurves from 4 - 6 during the week, I'm definitely going back and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food, always fresh. I like it better then KFC imo. There’s been time I went to KFC in Midland near closing time and picked up chicken and you can tell the chicken was fried a while ago, it was dry as ice ? .. Dixie Lee’s chicken is always fresh. Their fries and gravy are awesome, and the macaroni salad is amazing. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed. Plus the chicken pieces are a good size. It’s a 5/5 ⭐️ in my books.

This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation).
It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. It's fish and chips and it's GOOD.
(If it weren't for the location, I'd come back more often.)

I've never been inside, but they sometimes have a girl outside with a table of foil take-out dishes around dinner time, all for 3 dollars. It's one of the best values in Chinatown, just take it home and make your own rice. fast, convenient and I've never had anything I didn't like. They do, however, have bitter melon in about half the dishes. If there were more bitter melon-free dishes, I would certainly eat there more often.

Moved out of the area and still made the trek back to this place. Ordered 6 halibuts in total and everyone was complementing the size and taste. The price was very reasonable and you get more than you would in many other places. The (I believe) owners are really nice.
