If you’re looking to pick up a new pair of sneakers or consider yourself an avid sneaker collector (otherwise known as a “sneakerhead”), Calgary has several stores and boutiques that specialize in new-release and hard-to-find shoes. In addition to the chain stores and mall shops, Calgary also features a handful of independent sneaker boutiques with new and rare kicks from Nike, Adidas, Jordan and more.

Lexington Ave Culture Spot

1
102-617 11 Ave SW, Calgary AB T2R 0E1

A recent addition to Calgary’s sneaker scene, Lexington Ave Culture Spot specializes in new and used Jordan sneakers. The boutique also buys used sneakers and offers sneaker cleaning and restoration services. Owner Alex Clarke is heavily involved in Calgary’s hip-hop scene and often hosts special events at the store including rapper meet-and-greets, private rap battles and more.

KIXS Sneaker Boutique

An Alberta-based shoe chain with three Calgary locations including one in CrossIron Mills shopping centre, KIXS offers the latest styles in popular shoe brands for men and women. These include Vans, Converse, Puma, Supra, Adidas Vintage and socially responsible shoe manufacturers such as TOMS and tentree.

Foot Locker

2
6455 Macleod Trail SW, Calgary AB T2H 0K3

The go-to mall store for sneaker shoppers, Foot Locker receives new releases almost daily from labels including Adidas, Jordan and Nike. Most sneaker launches start at 10 am, but popular Nike and Jordan releases frequently see sneakerheads eagerly lined up outside of the store well beforehand. If you want to get your hands on a new release, you’ll want to show up early. Once a new release sells out, resellers exponentially increase the price. Locations include Chinook Centre.

Champs Sports

6455 Macleod Trail SW, Calgary AB T2H 0K3

A specialty sportswear store in Chinook Centre, Champs Sports carries the most popular sneaker brands including Adidas, Jordan, Nike, and Converse. Champs is affiliated with Foot Locker so you can expect to see new sneaker releases almost daily. Champs often has a large selection of discounted sneakers. If you miss out on a new release and don’t mind waiting, you may eventually be able to score your kicks at a discounted price.

Sport Chek

D7-11626 Sarcee Trail NW, Calgary AB T3R 0A1

The mecca of sports equipment and sporting goods, Sport Chek locations can be found all over the city from Beacon Hill to Westbrook Mall. Stores feature a huge selection of sneakers for running, training, basketball, skating and more by brands including Adidas, Jordan, Nike and Under Armour. In addition to popular basketball and lifestyle sneakers, Sport Chek also carries performance footwear like cleats, tennis shoes, golf shoes and more.

Adidas

636-261055 Crossiron Blvd, Rocky View AB T4A 0G3

One of the most popular sneaker and sportswear brands, Adidas recently opened up a store in CrossIron Mills. The shop offers fashionable and functional sneakers for men and women, as well as many celebrity-endorsed, limited-edition lines.

Kicks Sports

6
404-4625 Varsity Dr NW, Calgary AB T3A 0Z9

Located in an unassuming strip-mall in Southwest Calgary, Kicks Sports is a sports apparel and sneaker shop. The store caters to athletes, so you won’t find any Nike Air Max or Air Jordan kicks here. Rather, the store carries a large selection of functional indoor sports performance sneakers and outdoor cleats from labels including Nike, Puma and Adidas.

Shaw Millennium Park
