There may be no one right way to train and keep all dogs, but Kameron Cuk, owner of Whitby’s A Tail of Two Dogs Doggy Daycare, believes there are wrong ways of going about it. He speaks from experience, as some of his earlier forays into having dogs as pets taught him he still had a ways to go. He started the dog daycare because he was driven to help his community as well as continue to better himself. “...the trouble I was having with my dogs, it pushed me to the point where I needed to understand more,” he says. “I needed to understand the mechanics behind it.”
Kameron admits that being a skilled dog handler is an ongoing process, as dogs are complex animals with deep personalities that take time to understand, just like fellow humans. “I’ll be the first person to tell you I don’t know everything,” he says. "It’s like anything out there — there’s never really an end to it and you can continue to grow and learn, or to reinvent and reshape and remake the wheel, and there’s different ways of going about it. So, it’s an ongoing process, it never stops. I’m always learning something on a daily basis.”
Kameron is really great with our two dogs and with our foster dogs. I would and do recommend him to anyone in search of a Dog Trainer or Doggie Daycare.
