This may be the first joint Greenhouse Juice Co. x Crown Flora Studio shop, but the relationship between the two companies goes way back. It all began when Greenhouse co-founders Emma Knight, Anthony Green and Hana James opened their first cold-pressed juice store on January 2014 in Summerhill. They collaborated with Crown Flora to give the store a touch of green, which subsequently continued with each new Greenhouse location. “We used to say, and we still say, ‘they put the green in Greenhouse,’” smiles Emma.
When a space opened up on Queen West, the two green companies saw it as an opportunity to come together. “It was too big for either of us to take on our own,” explains Emma. “And we’ve both been kind of looking at this neighbourhood.” Crown Flora was looking for something further east of their Parkdale shop and Greenhouse’s office headquarters are nearby. It was the perfect situation for them both, so they decided to create a dual store, and on June 8, 2016, Greenhouse Juice Co. x Crown Flora Studio was born.
