Stepping into Bizzy B’s Stamp & Scrap tickles the creative bone of anyone who loved arts and crafts as a child. Beautiful patterned paper, stamps, cards, ornaments, paints, stickers and glitter line the walls while samples of artwork donated by customers and staff provide inspiration.
Owner Barb Starace has been running the store since 2005. The store occupies the space that originally housed a craft store called Great Impressions. When Barb’s parents were stricken with cancer, she started taking art journaling and card-making classes at Great Impressions, honing in on her artistic skills to cope with her emotions during this trying time. When her parents passed away, she decided to take over the business, calling it Bizzy B’s. “The name Bizzy B’s is because my mum and my aunts’ names all start with B and so does mine, and they were all crafty,” says Barb.
