The Sicily has the best pasta/pizza that I have ever had, even in Italy! Everything is made fresh and it is always excellent. Service is slow so be prepared to spend some time here and just relax and enjoy the evening. I have been a steady customer for over 40 years and have never been disappointed.
Worst service I have encountered in a restaurant. Waitress was downright rude. Will never visit this place again.
Great food. Horrible service!!! Not worth the trip.
questioned the staff they were defensive and unapologetic. Food was tasty but NOT worth the wait. Visited
I love this place! Great food, terrific service, and quiet relaxing atmosphere. their take-out pizza is second to none in the area.
My favorite authentic Italian restaurant! Service is slow when you're dining in but the food is worth it. For sure. I recommend take out as it is usually a 20 minute wait for the same meal and portion size. But overall, absolutely delicious!
Sicily's has always been a favourite of mine. The food is amazing, and the price reasonable for the quality. I've been to this restaurant many times in the past 19 years, and I know the owners. Very nice people, with an a excellent chief, and the waiters are friendly and remember faces. When it's busy, they let you know just how long it might be in the kitchen, and they check on you periodically to see how you are or if you need something more to drink. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes to dine in fine places.
Worst service ever and tasted like chef boy rd. Took 3 hours for the worst food I have ever eaten. I will never return because the servers are extremely rude
Due to a health issue I'm unable to consume pepper and specifically told the server that I was unable to have any pepper. When the meal arrived I was concerned that it contained pepper and upon questioning the server was told that there was "some" pepper in the sauce. I re-iterated that I was unable to have pepper and would not be able to eat my meal. When the bill arrived we were charged for my meal and again, after questioning the server, were told that the sauce and meat were preseasoned with pepper and they would not take the meal off our bill. Totally unacceptable. We have been going to this restaurant since it was on Murphy Road and cannot believe that they are going to lose a customer over what transpired tonight!
Wow, one of the worst dining experiences I've had in recent memory. The food was mediocre and the service was the worst. It took a half hour to bring out a wilty Cesar salad with feta...the mains come a full 1 1/4 hours later. When we complained, the waitress "Frances" told us that "this is a fine dining establishment, I'm sorry you weren't aware of that!" Umm...ma'am...you have Madonna playing in the background, and flashing lights with neon on your bar. Classy! Oh, and thank you for letting me partake of you lousy service complete with lame excuses for unreasonable delays. The food was adequate. But 1 3/4 hours to send out pasta with meat sauce, shrimps drowning in lemon with steamed veg, stuffed pasta shells, and linguine marinara. Really? We've had similar meals at restaurants back home for 2/3 the price and 1/2 the time. I'm not sure if it was a bad night, but there were a few other tables complaining. We left feeling ripped off by the quality of food, and insulted by the pathetic service provided by a ridiculous waitress. That said, the rest of the waitstaff were either great or took pity on us. We were there years ago and it was good. As it is now, there is NO WAY we'll be back. You've been warned...
The Puttanesca is wonderful - every time! Service is great too.
The sauces here are cooked completely from scratch, and you can tell. The two chefs are insanely experienced (actually FROM Sicily), and take out is available for you impatient ones. The prices are fair for the size of the portions and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
This has been one of our favourite restaurants for several years - the food is always excellent as is the service - there doesn't appear to be a high turnover rate in staff which is always a good indicator. The restaurant was packed last night and there was a bit of a wait for our main course but this allowed us to enjoy our salads and shared appetizer and each other's company at our leisure. We were able to savour each portion of our meal instead of rushing through it. Our dining experience lasted just over 1 1/2 hours and was a very nice way to spend time. We like the relaxed atmosphere here - and it appears that others do too - there were a lot of different groupings in the restaurant last night, tables for two to tables for ten or twelve. Everyone appeared to be enjoying their food, their evening and each other's company. We've been travelling and dining out frequently these last few months. Price for our meals has been on par or higher priced than at Sicily's. The food and service at Sicily's is comparable or better than the variety that we have experienced in our travels. It's nice to know that we have this little gem in our neck of the woods.
This used to be a small "hole in the wall" on Murphy Rd, with the best Puttanesca this side of the Atlantic. Now, it's a large, yet comfortable restaurant, that still has the best Puttanesca. The key is the capers, which no one else seems to use anymore, but distinguishes Puttenesca from plain marinara. The waitress suggested we split a Caesar salad, which was a good idea as it was huge. When you visit, bring your appetite - we took enough home for another meal for two. A little longer than expected to receive the food,(hence the 9 rather than 10) but when I realised they still make the Puttanesca sauce fresh to order (and one can tell), and still bake the entire entrée in the foil serving bag, I knew the wait would be worth it.
WORST SERVICE EVER. Took the servers 45 minutes to take our drink orders and bring them out...then we were waiting another hour and 15 mins for our food. In the meantime the servers were not coming back to our table for more drink orders or anything, so we went to the bar (there was a bartender on hand) to order drinks and paid the bartender for them. The servers then come to our table and tell us we can't do that!!! After 2 hours of waiting for food, we say something to the servers...and they do not apologize AT ALL...they say nothing. Finally the food came and by that time we were just fed up. Food is good...but not worth the hassle. NOTHING was offered for our wait...no free dessert (it was even 2 people's birthday)...no free appetizers...no $$ off. NOTHING. I have never been to a worse place. Not worth it people....
Excellent food, excellent service nice decor. Our best dining exoerience to date
This is an outstanding restaurant! The food is excellent and the staff is attentive, courteous, serve the various courses rapidly. The Chicken Cacciatore was especially delightful as the tomato sauce was somewhat sweet-- both a surprise and an outstanding touch. Sicily is a gem-- and I will be back to try other menu items! Joel
This is the best place to go for authentic italian. The food is made fresh daily, and the portions are a great size. One plate of pasta feeds me twice! the best is the stuffed sole.
This may be the best restaurant in Sarnia! The food is spectacular, it's a beautiful restaurant and the service was great!
Valentines dinner ruined!!!! This place was slow, the food was awful and so crammed. You would hit the people sitting next to you if you wern't careful. Way over priced for the quality of food. Give it a well deserved one out of ten.
