I've been going occasionally there for years with my family and I would say it was once better. Still, it's humble but good. Tony the proprietor will usually be there to listen to you when you tell him what you want. Or just to chat. He'll probably make balloon animals for the kids. The hours are somewhat irregular. Certainly not fancy. But you can relax.
Just say no no to Ho Ho! We just had take out from this place. The beef was overcooked and the Hunan dumplings had some sort of Thai peanut sauce on them. The rice noodles and the pot stickers were not bad.
I am glad we did take out, because the atmosphere is pretty dismal: very dated and double tables a few centimeters apart and separated by (what appeared to be) decorated pieces of plywood to create the appearance of separation. The people were friendly, but that's about it.
Ketchup and Sweet & Sour Sauce are not synonymous.
I had HoHo's for the last time. The food just isn't good.
The S&S sauce tasted like ketchup, the egg rolls seemed cinnomon glazed, with plum sauce that tasted like a runny cinnamon/mustard combo.

i see the other two reviews, giving all 1''s and the other all 10's. I dont think this place is neither perfect, or a complete waste of time. This is, pretty much, your basic chinese take-out joint. You can always eat there, but with most eat in/take out chinese places, it's usually much cheaper to take out.
Anyway, the rice, chicken and noodles all tasted like any other chinese place, so thats not bad, cause i love chinese food.
I'd go again, since it's closeby, but if there were one closer then this, i'd just as soon go to a closer one.
