Calamari was dry, heated up at least twice, chips were in short supply...when they came they were dry and mealy. Greenery on the plate was dead on arrival! I will never go back nor recommend to anybody! Visited on 27 July at 3pm at Spark's street location.
Wonderful place - probably the best pub in downtown Ottawa - They had a great beer selection and some of the freshest harp draft i have ever tasted - And there's nothing that compares to their beer flight for a starter -
A group of 30 of us showed up at the 360 Moodie Drive location, there was only 4 other people on the patio. We wanted to put some tables together so that we may sit as a group. The manager was extremely rude to us and said that there is no way that he could or would move any tables on "his" patio and that if we did not like it that we could just go elsewhere. Unfortunately some of the group who had showed up earlier had already ordered....if they hadnt, none of us would have stayed. We called the general manager and he was even more rude and more arrogant that the store manager. I have been a patron of them in the past but after this experience, it will be the last. On a side note....after having called and talked to the General manager, I ordered a beer (a type which they said they had) and 15 mins later they returned to say that oh well, they didnt have that type. Two tables who ordered 10 mins after my table received all their food 10 mins before my table..........coincidence? I think not
One of the best Sheperds pie that my husband and I ever had. We ate at the new resturant at the Ottawa airport. How can we get the recipe?
Sat outside, food was great, 2 of us had fish and chips, my mom had stir fry and my partner had steak. Everything was delivered timely, server checked back in a couple times, that was good. They had a great beer there, St Ambroise Apricot Stout, in a bottle. Try it, WOW !! Next time I am in Ottawa I am heading there!
The potato patties were about the only good thing with the breakfast. My eggs tasted burnt, even though the didn't look like they were, which means they are cooking them on a disgusting, rarely cleaned grill that everything is cooked on. My husband's tasted the same. There are a lot of places to choose from, so I wouldn't rush back.
