This place is beyond fabulous. Seriously. If you like really spicy food, this restaurant will be like heaven. Food is fresh, served super fast, and flavourful like nothing I have ever eaten. It is really good value for your money, too! We go to this place all the time, just can't stay away! And it's always wonderful. The atmosphere is not so great, but really, who cares? The food is the greatest thing you will ever taste!! The servers are really nice too, very attentive. All in all, this is probably my favourite restaurant. Try it- you really won't be disappointed!
For the first dinner in my family's first night at Toronto, we stopped by the restaurant before going to the hotel. It was our second time; we had previously come by reccomondation by our friends. The meal seemed different. There has been a rumor that the chef has changed, according to a previous review. I am unsure if it is such a drastic change, but the flavor did seem lacking. The stew's spices were nearly overpowering, my younger sibling had difficulty handling the dish, even in small portions. The dumplings and rice noodles were equally good, not incredible, but tasty. The fried lemon fish was forgettable. The service was adequate, the server cleaned a spilled glass of water fairly quickly near our table, but we didn't recieve our drinks, even after two previous requests. Overall, the experiance was quite good. The taste however, seemed to have declined. Previously, the flavor of a dish such as the beef would have been different. The flavor of the beef would harmonize with the spices, as opposed to the beef's taste being overpowered by the pepper and spices. Regardless, the restaurant is quite good, and I would reccomend at least a visit.
This restaurant used to be AMAZING - I would've given it a 10/10 back in August. Unfortunately, all of our favourite dishes have changed a lot - the rumour is that there is a different cook in the kitchen. It's a real shame, cause it was my favourite restaurant in Markham. We're looking for a new favourite...
While the food was excellent, the service may need some improvement during busy time. Generally, the service is good but when the restaurant gets busy, the server may not see to your need as often as he/she should.
It was an excellent Shezchwan resturant and in fact the finest I have ever gone to. Food was clearly displayed in pictures on the bottom of the menu and they had a "Spicy" rating beside every item. However they did not fall into the trap of making a dish of only spice. It was a pork dish or a lamb dish with a perfect balance towards a strong spicy companion flavor. Truely a must go to resturant.
Beautiful restaurant. They opend a send resturant in a different location. 3280 Midland Ave. Food is authentic and very tasty! Will go again. :)
