We enjoyed the patio during the Mill Race Folk Festival. Lovely cold beer and sangria. Our server apologized for being slow, but we honestly didn't notice that. The festival made the place busier than usual but we felt very well attended to. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. One of the few places in downtown Galt that serves up delicious food at affordable prices.
The menu offered an excellent choice of meals @ a high end price but, the portions were a very good size. The bread was tasteless and stale. Very sad since someone took the time to prepare a lovely presentation. The server was friendly and attentive but, her time was measured and simple things (like refills of water, wine, coffee...asking about our meals and checking on the table) did not take place. She was by herself serving about 7 tables. The ambience is amazing, the seats were comfy and the music was soft and easy to chat above. I will likely go back for another visit but, would highly recommend they take pride in a good fresh bread selection. First impressions mean a lot to that price of restaurant visitor. I will agree with the previous comment that the wine selection (although good) was costly with no options.
I frequent this restaurant at least once a month for lunch. The service and food is outstanding and the owner will take time out of her busy schedule to discuss the menu and other topics with you. Go relax and enjoy.......... It is worth the drive from Angus...
I called the night before my engagement party and asked if they could make me a big antipasto platter. It was my first time using the restaurant. My brother picked it up and brought it over to the party. For the price it was amazing it was huge displayed on a glass mirror. It was amazing I would tell everyone i know to visit the restaurant. With one day notice they blew me away. I live in Toronto and have attended many restaurants but it was top knotch. Tahnk you
I have been here time and time again and have never been disappointed. The food is fabulous, the service is exceptional. I am looking forward to my next visit!
I have visited the restaurant at least once a month for the past year and have never had a poor meal or anything but great service. Rochelle, the owner is fabulous and will always take time in her busy day to speak with the patrons - try their catering for your next party. A great place to relax, be comfortable and have a great meal.
Lily Ruth is our got-to place for special occasions and it never disappoints...
Food was very very good. So good I licked my plate clean. I recommend the thai shrimp appetizer.
This restaurant is awesome. We went for the first time on our anniversary and were very pleasantly surprised. Its tucked away downtown galt but the decor is nice. They have jazz some nights as well. Try the appetizer medley. Weve been a few times since
I swear judging by the others comments I must have went on a bad day . I found this place to be horrible . The sevice was lacking ( and you think since the place was empty it would have been opposite ) . The food was by far one of the worst dining experinces I have had . No wonder the place is always empty ... Please replace the chef , and liven the place up a bit . I was excited when I had first seen the place opening as it looked like it would turn out to be a jazzy , lounge type place with some interest...I was wrong , it is just another boring dining experience . Downtown Galt is in need of help ...badly..
As the wine list did not include Italian or French House Wine anymore, and the wine selections were pricey, (we were given a coloured piece of paper) the Hostess (Wine Steward?) suggested if we came in more often, she could order us some "cheap wine". When she showed up again 15 minutes later, we decided to order two martinis instead. The cost was $23.00 plus tip! We dine out often, and we like to support our local restaurants, but will not return to this one.
