“I work with businesses to create short-form videos for online marketing and business communication,” says sole proprietor Trevor Jansen of TrevorJansen.com. His company is founded on the concepts of helping clients tell stories, pitch ideas, and explain their products and services to the public. Sometimes the videos he creates are also targeted towards meeting recruitment goals. “They broadcast their own corporate culture and what they're all about, as well as the kind of people they're looking for.”
Trevor had always been drawn to visual communication, and prior to launching his business he had focused primarily on photography. The evolution into video has been a positive step for him. “Being able to add a motion element and voiceover, that was really empowering,” he says.
His professional challenge comes down to finding the best way to tell a story, and that can take many different forms.
