Saw an exercise bike on their website. It was on clearance and said there was one left in stock. I called the store and they confirmed there was 1 left. It was the display model and was already assembled. I asked the assistant, Nick, a few questions about its condition and how to take it apart to fit in our car, and he confirmed that he was looking at it as we spoke. I told him that we were over an hour's drive away and he said he would put a hold on it immediately. My husband drove over straight away to pick up the bike and when he got there, it was gone! The employees denied selling it from under us but how else can such a large item have suddenly disappeared? They gave an undertaking to hold it and didn't stand by it. I called the store and spoke to someone called Linda and told her how unhappy I was about the loss of time and the expense, as well as the complete frustration of driving over there, after the assurances we had had from them and she did not seem to care at all. I'm disgusted that they treat customers in this way.
