Shanghai City Restaurant

We LOVE this restaurant! The food is abundant and delicious, and there is even a large assortment of desert items to finish off their great buffet dinner that is very cost effective. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is shiny clean.

This place is joke, the food is disgusting. You order from the menu, and they serve you cold food from the buffet Please do not waste your money or your time, My experience with my friend was disaster, I ordered appy first and I got entire everything at the same time, lemon chicken was dry, inedible, also the beef chow mein, it was disgusting, everything was awful. Server ask how s everything ? She should notice we barely touch it Your food sucks

The food was horrible, it tasted as if it was several days old and had been reheated. The meat dishes were all fat and gristle and the vegetables were on the verge of being rotten. The manager was extremely rude and refused to refund our money, she said that it wasn't their policy to offer refunds or have fresher food prepared. We left after paying for a smorg that we couldn't eat... overall a terrible experience.

One of the better choices in Nanaimo.

First off the staff are awesome. friendly, and helpful. The smorg is tasty but never over the top and the selection really hasn't changed in many years. A reasonable attempt at a basic Dim Sum menu option for brunch on the weekends with a very limited selection of dishes. Again ok but not over the top.
