never showed up after making arrangements
I called ahead to this company to have a truck towed from Nanaimo to Victoria. I made the arrangements 2 days ahead of time, and "Carl" agreed to meet me at roadside to hook up my truck on a Saturday morning. I told him specifically I was driving up from Victoria just to meet him and to please call me if he couldn't make it. I left him my cell phone number, and I sent him an email so he'd have my email address as well to notify me of any change of plans. Having driven up Saturday morning to meet him, he never showed up. I called his number and he was unavailable, but his mom answered the phone. She first claimed he was in Vancouver, then said that was Carl Sr. I must have meant Carl Jr. She then claimed she sent me an email to cancel the job (not true - inbox is empty). She then said she'd try and get her son to call me. Never heard anything from "Carl" (or his mommy for that matter). I did get a call from another company who said they'd been asked by Carl's mom to call me. They were able to do the job, but would want more money, and couldn't do it that day. Five and a half hours later, I was back home, having driven 200 km round trip and still without my truck. That was LOUSY customer service Carl. To anyone thinking of hiring these guys - be warned.
